Best Childhood memory.

In everyday life, you barely remember your childhood. And even if you do, you do it in a nostalgic way. Your childhood was when you thought you would grow up and become a superhero.

But adulting took those dreams away from you. In this moment, you can sit and reminisce about all the beautiful memories you had while you were growing up. All you need to do is to pick the best one and record it in your journal.

You will find it hard to pick one. You might start writing about one memory but the prompt will take you on a journey where you can explore your childhood. Write whatever comes to your mind. Do not restrict yourself. You can even write a lot of memories and then mark a star on the best one.

Best Childhood holiday.

Do you remember your best childhood holidays? If you try to remember one, it might lead you to several others. Again, it will be hard to pick just one. Remember the activities that you did during those vacations.

Were you with your family or were there other people? Did your siblings accompany you? How old were you when you went on your favorite holiday? Did you revisit the place? Has that place changed from the last time you visited? Did you stay at the same hotel you visited the last time?

What about your friends? Did you visit the place with your family and friends? If you could visit the place again, who would you want to go with? Start describing everything you remember about any vacation, holiday, or picnic from your childhood.

Describe your ideal day.

If you were not stuck in a routine of work and home, what would your ideal day look like? Would you do your favorite movie marathon? Would you invite your friends over to your house and spend some time with them? Would you like to spend some time alone, sipping on tea or coffee?

Would you complete that half-read novel or turn the pages of your favorite magazine? What about exploring the places nearby? You can do it too. Since it is your journal and your day, you can spend it the way you want.

Plan what would your ideal day look like. From the moment you wake up, to what you would like to wear and how you are going to spend each hour of the day. Once you plan and write it, it will be easier for you to live through that day sooner.

Describe your ideal vacation.

Many travelers keep a travel journal. In that, they list all the places they would like to visit at least once. But you do not need a separate journal to keep a travel bucket list. You can simply start describing your favorite vacation.

Once you imagine yourself in a different place, you will know if you are a mountain person or a beach person. Whether you want to drive to different places to explore, enjoy natural beauty, taste multiple cuisines, experience culture, or just getaway.

This will not only help you explore your hidden desires. But it will also help you plan your next vacation. This way, you will feel more fulfilled. Because once you have visualized yourself there. So, begin describing did you yelled from a mountaintop or felt the grains of sand between your toes.

5 hobbies you would like to pursue next.

We are living through gig-economy. Hustle culture has become our way of living. But not every passion needs to earn you some money in one way or the other. Some hobbies can be pursued on the side for self-fulfillment.

It can be your personal passion project. You can be proud of it and not show anyone or earn money. What will that project be for you? Is there any hobby that you would like to pursue? Maybe you start taking those photography classes.

Or it is time you make something from clay to add aesthetic to your home. It can be anything. You are simply listing a few things. It will help you self-reflect and may heal your inner child. It will re-surface the wonder that you always had as a kid.

What does your dream wardrobe look like?

This might not be the most famous topic in the journal. However, it may be the most important topic who want to invest in a capsule wardrobe. You want to express yourself through fashion. And you don’t want to spend precious time in decision-making about what to wear.

The best part is through this prompt, you can get a bit crafty and add some pictures to your journal. Add a few images of celebrities, your favorite designers, and their designs. You can make a complete album of what you want to add to your wardrobe.

It would not only save a lot of time spent in decision-making. But it will also dress you for the job you want to pursue. Your clothing better defines you in the ways you want to express yourself.

The most embarrassing memory.

Remember the cringe memory from childhood that keeps you awake at night? Your brain somehow chooses to remind you what happened and makes sure you don’t go to sleep. It is the time you write the memory down. Take it out of your head and put it on the paper.

You will feel much lighter when you do that. And once you read the same memory in the third person, you will know it was not as embarrassing as you thought. You will realize it is not worth losing your sleep. You will know that you were embarrassed about another childish thing.

And finally, you will register it as just another memory. You will not feel so cringed about it.

The most traumatic memory.

Every life is not filled with happy days. Sometimes, you have gone through some trauma. You may not have processed it well. But it is still deep inside your consciousness and governs every decision that you go through in life.

It is important to process it in a healthy manner. You can start by writing it on paper. You may face huge resistance. You may face brain fog, heavy heart, or chest pains because of the resurfacing of memories. However, you will feel much lighter after you complete it.

It will also help you with some shadow work. Where you will see the dark part of your personality. The part you either don’t want to see or don’t like seeing. It is like understanding both Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde.

It will also help heal your inner child and break some walls of boundaries in your head. When you will see what you have gone through on paper. You will develop a self-protective and nurturing mindset. You will need it to become emotionally and mentally strong.

Write a letter to the kid you once were

Once you have faced your fears, you can transcend that energy through time and space. Write a letter to the kid who you knew. The kid who went through all of that and became you. Share some love and kindness to it.

Through your letter, let them know that it is okay to not know everything. It is okay to not be able to understand everything. It is also okay to be anxious about the future. And you are so proud of that kid who will thrive through the toughest of times and conquer life.

Let them know how good you are doing. And you owe it to the resilience of that naïve yet courageous kid who kept going.

Writing that letter will be the best self-care activity, you will do for yourself.

Describe the dream you still remember.

We dream at least 14 minutes every day. And yet, most of the time, we barely remember those dreams. But sometimes, a few of those dreams stick with us. It can be a lovely, flowery dream. You keep smiling after seeing those dreams.

And sometimes, you have traumatic nightmares that still haunt you if you remember them. Though, dream journaling is a different art in itself. Through it, you can understand different signs and what else is going on in your brain.

But some dreams are outright weird. Do you have any dream or range of dreams that you often see and can’t forget? It is time you get those out of your mind and put them in your journal.

Write about various dreams you often see and how they make you feel. Understanding your dream can be enlightening for you.
